5 places to enjoy a mid-afternoon snack!

Madrid is full of charming places where you can enjoy an afternoon snack while chatting with friends, having a work meeting, recharging your batteries after a shopping excursion or simply relaxing to the tune of a pianist or musical thread.

1. Margo salon de Té – Tea Room (Cale Maria de Molino, 5)

Having a cup of coffee, while enjoying the Madrilenian teashop ambiance is simple delicious. The gorgeous table cloths and china set takes you back to the era of Marie Antonieta. The chocolate infused with mint, orange, cinnamon, or rose petal are all highly recommended.  Here you will be enchanted by the uniquely tasty and experience. As well, there are teas for children, accompanied by slices of apples or a gollup of merengue. The wide variety of tea and infusions selections will leave you astonished.  The black tea called Midsummer´s Peach is divine!

2. Pomme Sucre (Calle Barquillo, 49)

Small and cozy, this spot will entice the chocolate addicts with their coulants, brownies, cakes, chocolates, cookies and macaroons. These products are of exquisite quality and perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Absolutely essential: the cream millefeuille, and the little glass of chocolate mousse (Opera) or the coffee flavor (namelaka). I love the mugs!

3. Mama Framboise (Calle Fernando VI, 23)

This is a charming place and the truth is that the excellent pastries will leave your mouth watering. There are a multitude of breads, sandwiches, quiches, and exquisite pastries. 4. Urban GL (Carrera de San Jeronimo, 34)

If only to admire the stupendous decor of the gigantic colorful gummy bears and glass of the sophisticated lounge, it´s absolutely worth the visit! Here, you will find a variety of teas accompanied by fun snacks like chocolate covered nuts, gummy bears and popcorn. A cool spot to enjoy an afternoon snack…that might just last until midnight!

5. Hotel Ritz (Plaza de la Lealtad, 5)

One of the best and most elegant hotels in Madrid has a splendid terrace where you can delight in a wide selection of appetizers, pastries, sandwiches, all different types of jam, double espresso or green tea. The ¨afternoon tea¨, as they like to call it, is served from 16:30 to 19:30 and is the ideal spot to relax while relishing in the classical music played live by a pianist.
